And a Little Bit of Magic

Fun and Writing for Kids

Recipe for a Little Bit of Magic for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is an easy one to get lost. Every year I’m still in the mist of Christmas recovery time and this holiday always sneaks up on me. However, I’ve been learning that honoring the seasons doesn’t have to be huge. It’s a matter of simply showing up and being present. Below is a recipe for adding just a little bit of magic to this mid-winter holiday:

1. Make 5 paper hearts

2. Write 1 clue on the back of each heart

3. Hide clues at kid level around the house. Each clue should lead to the next hidden spot.

4. Leave small Valentine’s treasures in the last spot the last clue leads to.
